Pegging With Longer Toys
Taking a longer dildo can be exquisitely pleasurable, or it can be really uncomfortable. I often see receivers who are relatively new to pegging talk about being puzzled why they can't take a longer toy. Part of it is individual preference. In other words, there are some receivers who absolutely love the sensation of taking a longer dildo. But there are others who dislike the sensation and describe it as feeling like the toy is hitting a wall and can't go any further.
Physiology
What's happening? As you can see from the diagram above, your physiology takes a 90 degree turn at the back of your rectum. The distance from the opening of your anus to the back of the rectal canal varies from person to person and can be anywhere from 6" to 7.5". So, it's not a long straight tube like many people envision. And at the back of your rectum, that turn is important to take into consideration.
Toys Matter
Think about this. If you have a firm silicone toy pushing up against that junction, you might be challenging your internal curves in ways than can be uncomfortable. I teach an advanced pegging webinar that covers longer toy play. I always advise beginning depth play with a soft, tapered toy that can navigate the turn. That's the key to working towards taking a longer dildo.
Before You Go Long
- Make sure that you are not encountering the Puborectalis muscle. Although that muscle is usually only about 3" - 4" in, it can cause similar problems of a difficulty in penetrating further. The effects of that muscle can be canceled out by bringing your knees to your chest.
- Educate yourself about safety when taking a longer dildo
- Get an appropriate toy!
One Response
I have carefully “discovered” the inner workings and navigating them well, this has led to easy and pleasant experiences. I am dying to watch / participate in the advanced webinar and to go bigger and longer. Thank you Ruby for your blog and information, you’ve made it possible for this old guy (me) to discover a whole new way to live life.
