Well, you can hold it with your hands. I don't know of a retail harness that will hold the Hoss, or if there is one I don't own it and maybe don't want to (read cheaply made or bad materials).
Annnnd now is a great time to talk about the measurements of the Hoss.
The head maxes out at 2.75" and the shaft is a pretty uniform 2.5". The insertable length is exactly 11". The balls at the base of this toy are enormous.

The Hoss is 100% Super Soft silicone. This special kind of softer silicone is a blessing on this toy, because anything more rigid would decrease the comfort factor. Helpful hint: When you tie the scarves on, you might need to have your partner hold the Hoss in place for you, because it is a bit unwieldy. Place it higher than normal, because those huge balls will prevent you from placing it down lower between your legs.
Usually putting the dildo right over your pubic bone is not something I advise because you can end up with a bruised pubic bone. With the Hoss, though, you will not be thrusting hard. Yeah, sure, you may have seen that in porn with dildos of this size, but that's with lots and lots of muscle relaxers (remember - never try to duplicate porn). Totally not a waste of time. The people out there who love big toys deserve to have quality choices. Just because it’s not your choice certainly doesn’t mean no one likes XL toys.
I don’t speak for Tantus in any way, but I used to work for them. I got that question a great deal – why make big toys? To that I would say that no toy will work for every single person but it’s nice to see a company committed to a product assortment that offers an array of options for everyone seeking quality materials. I saw a lot of larger items in various shops around the country and quite often they were made out of what I would consider substandard materials.
This is a very specific toy that will only appeal to a specific subset of advanced players. And that’s okay. Everyone deserves quality.
I have observed that as well – that the larger toys are so often made with substandard materials. Which is why the Hoss is so awesome – it really is a fine toy.
I have seen the scarf tie used. It is successful if done correctly.
