The Search for Mini-Vibe Power
Perhaps you were one of the people who mourned the news that We-Vibe discontinued the Tango mini-vibe when they came out with their Tango X. While it may be a great mini-vibe design change for handheld masturbatory use, those of us who used the Tango as a vibe insert in the Fuze dildos mourned the loss of the most powerful and rumbly bullet vibe on the market. Slowly but surely the availability has been dwindling, and now they are pretty much gone.
Thankfully, the crisis point for this situation coincided with the latest ANME (Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo). And also, thankfully, this ANME was in person instead of online due to the pandemic. I mean - how can you test the strength of a bullet vibe online?!
One of my goals at this ANME was to find a replacement for the We-Vibe Tango. I am happy to report that I did indeed have success! In fact I found two mini-vibes that, while slightly larger than the Tango, will still fit nicely in the Fuze toys and deliver that wonderful, strong, rumbly sensation that we all crave.
We Did The Research!
I must tell you that Tiffany of Entice Me was also searching with me, even prior to the show. She heard my request for a replacement and took it seriously. That is how I found myself sitting down for lunch with Tiffany at the hotel restaurant, with at least 12 different bullet vibes on the table for us to compare! She'd been collecting them for me. Who knows what the server thought, but it was a sex toy expo, so I'm sure they saw all kinds of goodies that weekend, though perhaps not so many on the dining tables! Bottom line is, Tiffany and I did our research for you folx!
Mini-Vibe Power Attained Times Two
Nu Sensuelle Point Plus
This is a top quality powerful, rumbly vibe that has 20 vibration functions, a charging stand, and 2 textured silicone tips for masturbatory use. The Nu Sensuelle Point Plus vibe is available in 4 colors and is double dipped in silicone for an ultra smooth, silky, sensual feel.
Here are the 20 functions, as best as I can describe them:
- 7 levels of increasing constant power
- short pulses/long pulses/1 long sustained, start over
- same pattern, but faster
- short pulses/1 long sustained
- short pulses/very fast pulses
- short pulses/sustained/very fast pulses/sustained
- slow pulse
- faster pulse
- med pulses/fluttery pulses
- fastest pulse
- same? (could not tell the difference between this pattern and the previous one)
- fluttery fast pulse
- med pulse/ sustained
- med pulse/longer sustained
The number of vibrational patterns is practically overwhelming, to ensure you can find your favorite. Two arrows on the base control the navigation. A simple press of either will turn the vibe on, and you can go through the patterns with the arrows. The patterns do not loop, so you must either go up the list or down. Hold either arrow to turn the vibe off. It measures 3.6" x .9" (9.14 x 2.28cm).
Charge time is 2.5 hours and provides around 1 hour of play. One year warranty.
Blush Limited Addiction Power Vibe
I was delighted to discover that Blush brought a colorful option to the ANME show that measured up against the Point Plus. The Limited Addiction Power Vibe has a lower price point, but the same powerful rumbly vibe - which is the most important part! When I held both in my hands, I could just barely tell the difference in power. Blush is just a little less powerful; it is truly difficult to discern. The Addiction Vibe gives you the choice of 5 powers and 5 speeds. It is completely submersible and waterproof, as well as being rechargeable. Blush offers 6 beautiful marbled color choices that are quite striking. It measures 4" x .9" (10.16 x 2.28cm).
Controls are on the base - a plus and a minus. Hold the plus to turn on. It offers 10 functions:
- 5 increasing levels of power
- ramp up low high pulses, pause at the top, repeat
- high pulses
- high faster pulses
- short short short long, repeat
- low high low high pulses
You use the minus or plus to move throughout these pattern and power choices, and they loop. Yay! This means if you keep pressing the plus, after the last pattern it will go back to low. When you are ready to turn it off, hold the minus.
Interesting note about the charging cord. It's a fabric wrapped cord instead of a plastic one, first of all. Plus, the charge attachment and USB plugs are a mottled tan plastic (see photo), and there is a tag attached to it that reads "50% less materials used" - Good for you, Blush! (Charge time, play time and warranty info coming soon. Not available on product listing or packaging - sent them a request.)
A Note About the Mini-Vibe Power Sizes
I took a photo to show you the size comparisons of these two vibes in relation to the now-defunct Tango mini-vibe, as well as the way the Addiction vibe (longest) fits in the Fuze Tango. While the width is slightly larger, they both fit well in the vibe insert holes. Since they are longer, a little more of the vibe sticks out, but from experience we know that 1) it never gets in the way, 2) makes insertion and removal easier, and 3) controls are easy to access.
The Power to Rumble Makes Heat!
Both of these vibes got warm as I puzzled out all the patterns, the Point Plus more than the Addictions. I assume that amount of rumbly vibration power produces some heat. But it's not enough to make it uncomfortable, even for hand held masturbation purposes, and certainly it's no problem for toy inserts. To be sure, both of these vibes are hot stuff, though!
